CONTEST RULES

RULE 1:

You may score all bucks but will be limited to entering one whitetail buck per contestant.

RULE 2:

Deer must be killed in the 2022-2023 season and in accordance with all state laws.

RULE 3:

Deer must be free ranging and not taken on paid or guided hunts.

RULE 4:

Deer must be taken and measured between October 1, 2022 and January 31, 2023.

RULE 5:

Deer must be taken within a 200 mile radius of FBC Haughton.

RULE 6:

Bucks will be scored to the nearest quarter inch by totals of widest inside spread, tallest point of rack, and number of points. To ensure consistency in scoring, Chris Nesbit has agreed to score all deer at the Bellevue Meat Processing Plant, 176 Bodcau Dam Road, Haughton (318-949-3794). Call the processing plant to ensure Chris will be available. They are open 7 days a week starting October 8, 8:00am–9:00pm. Prizes will be awarded at Man Church on February 21, 2023.

RULE 7:

Youth hunters taking their first deer (doe or buck) will be recognized. A picture of this deer with the youth must be submitted by texting “Buck” to 318.300.1981.

RULE 8:

Deer taken on Sunday will not be eligible. (We may not know, but God will.)

RULE 9:

All questions will be answered and settled by the Recreation Committee.

RULE 10:

Failure to abide by any rule will result in disqualification.

RULE 11:

Youth division (15 years old and under on September 30, 2022) will be awarded prizes in February also.

RULE 12:

The person who takes the largest deer with bow is not eligible for any other prizes.

RULE 13:

Please submit pictures of your deer by texting “Buck” to 318.300.1981.
