I am so thankful and honored to serve at First Baptist Haughton as your Equipping Pastor…if you are old, like me, you will recognize the title of Minister of Education…that’s me.

I was born in Shreveport, lived in Houston during my elementary years, and then moved back to Shreveport just before seventh grade.  I attended middle and High School here and then after graduation from Trinity Heights Christian Academy, I pursued a degree in Management at Texas A&M.  After receiving my diploma from A&M I moved back to Shreveport/Bossier and have been here ever since.

Tanya and I were married in 1996 and we have three really fun kids: Reagan (a senior at Baylor), Ruby Jane (Junior in High School), and Jesse (A freshman in High School).

Much to the chagrin of many of my newest friends, I do not hunt or fish, but I do love College Football and my amateur version of woodworking. 

I accepted the free grace of Jesus as my Savior in April of 1976 at Trees City Baptist Church and have had the opportunity to serve Him in some amazing places ever since, but no place better than First Baptist Haughton.  We are truly grateful to be here.
